Read-A-Thon

April 1 - 30, 2021

Read to feed your neighbors!

How it works:

  1. Register your child HERE

  2. Print our Read-A-Thon Scorecard to keep track of pages read, or pick up a physical copy from one of our library partners (see below)

  3. Help your child find one or more sponsors (family, neighbors, etc.) who agree to pledge a certain amount of money per page read during April

  4. At the end of April, children share their Read-A-Thon Scorecard with their sponsors and tally up how much they raised. Sponsors submit their donation HERE

  5. Email your child's Read-A-Thon Scorecard to Chloe.Gordon@HealthyAcadia.org

  6. In mid-May, all participants will receive a “thank you” goody bag!

The Hancock County Food Drive is partnering with local libraries to launch our first ever Read-A-Thon fundraiser! From April 1 - 30, K-8 readers have the opportunity to give back to their community and win prizes by fundraising for every page they read.

PRIZE!

The child who reads the most pages in April will win a gift certificate to their local book store! Winner will be announced
Friday, May 7th.
